Terrorism

What is Terrorism?

Terrorism is when people use violence, threats, or fear in an illegal way, often against regular people, to try to reach political, religious, or other goals. People affected by terrorism can feel very scared, sad, or unsure about their safety and the safety of their community. Victims can be hurt directly, like getting injured, losing loved ones, or having their property damaged. They can also be hurt in other ways, like feeling stressed, anxious, or having their daily lives and communities disrupted.
